Amiina

Amiina
“Kurr”
Ever

Ambient/Classical/ Electronic. Icelandic quartet (formerly Amina and Anima), Amiina sounds like a music box - they even play a music box - among their other thrift-store instruments, including wine glasses, bowed saws, antique synthesizers, and the violins, viola, and cello they started out with. They have worked with fellow Icelanders Sigur Rós on several
albums. On Kurr they manage to be quaint and exotic, like a modern vision set in a dusty portrait from the past. The music is gentle, soft, slow and airy.
