I Flew Down to LA…

Yes indeed, I am now in Los Angeles. And it was a pleasant trip getting here too. My friend Ezra gave me a ride to SFO yesterday at about 1:00 p.m. I went through the rather short security line where they made me remove my shoes and all metal objects. It was fast and easy (though I was prepared - 3 oz containers for my shampoo and stuff in a large ziplock bag) and I went right to the gate. Ten minutes later I was boarding an empty plane (I had a row all to myself, dig!) that was fancy and new.

The take off and landing was smooth, although some of the turns the pilot made were queasy-like (perhaps the pilot used to be a Blue Angel?). At one point I was looking out the window and we were facing pretty close to straight down - but only briefly. I’d like to mention that the flight attendants were all foxy ladies and mostly friendly.

Once I was at LAX I walked to the street and caught the LAX Fly Away bus to Union Station. It was a breeze. From there I caught a 704 Metro bus to Sunset and Echo Park Avenue. Then I crossed the street, caught the Dasher Bus to Baxter Street and it was a short (albeit uphill) walk to Flubber’s house. No problems at all.

I forgot my glasses but, what the heck, I’m on vacation.
