I saw the Butthole Surfers last night at the Fillmore (12/30/08) and they were GREAT! They played just about all my favorite songs - focusing mostly on the early and mid-Butthole material. The only song they didn’t play that I would have wanted to hear was Moving to Florida (sad face). They opened with KUNTZ and rocked from there on out. They did one encore that was immersed in blasting smoke machines that filled the auditorium and allowed them to make their exit unnoticed while the noise blared on. The Butthole Surfers were so smokin’ last night (no pun intended), I am VERY tempted to cancel my NYE plans and go see them again tonight. Freakin’ aye!
